I love the idea of villager centres, it gives another strategical dimension which makes games mote exciting. Buuut the more dimensions there are, the harder it is to balance lmao

I'm glad they changed some pronounciations (Kamos instead of Keymos) but other than that the voice acting is this game's weakest point

at 5:59 your villagers making the houses got stuck and he never showed up as being idle because he was tasked to build the houses, meaning you were playing the rest of the game with one less villlager. I think that is something they should try and fix as it also frequently happens on your wood and gold ( not on this particular game but you get what I mean). Great game though!

Lmao what good is passive ranged attacks from all Greek heroes if they can't hit a moving Roc? Rocs are MAD slow out of the flying units, aren't they?

The UI is too much and blocks a lot of view. Everything is boxed. Would be nice f.e. if you could minimize and extend that new top bar that shows villager count, mili count etc

I know I have inherent bias against the use of AI for art, but I genuinely also felt like the portraits looked worse even before i realized they used AI. Other than that small issue im still so extremely excited to play retold when it comes out.

As to the "cartoony" look I feel like the proportions of the of the units and even the buildings(!) look too squat and wide. Not to mention, some of the edges of buildings look way of rounded off. I know some of that is supposed to be the graphics being updated, but they've gone too far in a lot of places, and just look goofy. The textures also don't have enough shadows and depth. I hope this is something they improve soon, but the units less defined in some ways than the original model. I'm hoping people don't get too caught up in the hype and are afraid to criticize the game for fear of being too "negative".

I am once again requesting that content creators acknowledge the AI art used in the God portraits. It is unacceptable that a game being sold for any amount of money can use AI garbage, especially a game owned by a company as rich as Microsoft.

10:43 To kill it while moving, you probably need ballistics. Than your units predict the path and shoot. With ballistics upgrade, i think only counter is to move in opposite direction when shot is fired.

Since Greeks can only have 4 heroes, it's kinda fair to have ability to shoot bow.

The Roc just felt so clunky so play with too. I immediately started taking the Scarab instead.

3:06 Sorry, maybe it's nostalgia talking, but the mining animation feels so robotic here. There's no weight behind the pickaxe it seems, where the villager has to throw to the side and main momentum before hitting the gold rock here. The graphic detail is incredible, but some of the animations just feel...off.

It was admittedly very funny to see Kimo mimick a Titans strategy and it completely backfiring on him 😂 I like the Roc change, I think the game can do without that kind of cheese. Dunno about the Locust change, seems to require more micro to execute properly

Hey Boit, loving your videos. One thing you could do with the camera placement is having some sort of frame around the game, with the game scaled down a bit, and then your camera on some side of the free space. Lots of streamers tend to do this

All i'm gonna say for this beta, is that the hearth(the gameplay), the body(the graphics) are there, but the soul( the voice acting) is so lost/gone. I really hope this is some a.i for betas sake and change it in the future, because when i heard arkantos butchering Kamos's name i couldn't believe it, and i really hope is not that they want to keep a lore accurate accent for a "more immersive" experience. The voice acting is so off that it i believe the voice actors( if they are real) didn't even looked at the original voice lines to have an impression
